Our Goals
Our Plea: The plea of Christ himself was the unity of His followers,"...that all may be one." (John 17:21) We call ourselves a "Christian" church because we wish to unite with and honor only Christ.
Our Purpose: The reason Christian unity is necessary is stated further in Jesus' prayer, "...that the world may believe." The salvation of the world by preaching of the gospel ("good news") is the task of Christ and His church. Our congretation is non-denominational. Our purpose is not to further fragment an already divided church, but to invite people to unite around the central teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
Our Program: Consistent with our plea and our purpose, our worship revolves around Jesus and the Bible. We observe the Lords Supper in memory of Him each Sunday morning and welcome all followers of Christ to commune with Him at this time. We give serious attention to prayer and Bible study. Regarding Christian conversion we appeal to Biblical teaching and New Testament practice on matters relating to one's salvation from sin: faith in Christ, repentence from sin, confession of faith in Christ, water baptism by the original New Testament practice of immersion, and faithful Christian living. We enjoy Christian fellowship through various service projects and social activities.
Our Sincere Wish: It is our desire that the name and the teachings of Jesus Christ be honored in the lives of people. We believe Jesus Christ makes a difference and that He alone is the answer to the masive needs of our world. We believe the wholesome presence and influence of the church is the method in which He touches the lives of people. With sincerity and devotion, we wish as a church family to faithfully represent Christ to Hunterdon County and surrounding communities.
